Hello, Disney Bracketeers!
Welcome back to the Disney bracket! Thanks to everyone who fought bravely in the March contest. As I’m sure you remember, Mulan unleashed an avalanche of support and made a man out of the entire field, emerging as the Ultimate Disney Character.
As promised, I’m sharing a new Disney bracket for some summer fun. And now that it’s officially the first day of summer, I’m happy to announce the results of YOUR VOTES for our next contest. This summer we will crown the ULTIMATE DISNEY BFFs!
Votes are due by Friday, June 30.

Starting with Round 2, new rounds will open every Monday and close every Friday. This is single elimination, so make sure to vote for your faves before it’s too late!

Behind-the-Scenes bonus material: how do you choose who to include?
For this bracket, I opened the doors to any content on Disney+. So you’ll see some new IP, including favorites from Pixar, MCU, Star Wars, and the Disney channel.
There is a ton of content on Disney+, so how did I choose which friends to include in this illustrious competition?
Frankly, I picked the ones that I thought would be most well-known. This means there’s a strong bias towards full-length movies over tv shows. Also, I confess to a millennial bias towards nostalgia.
As always, the brackets are seeded based on an arcane science of googling, polling my committee of personal BFFs, following my gut, and a pinch of pixie dust.
